About Coyotes and Candles
Our Story
Coyotes and Candles is a two-person operation run out of Helsinki, Finland - alongside two cats who supervise everything with varying levels of interest. We share the readings and the GMing between us, and build the whole thing together.
The name came from two things we love: the trickster energy of coyotes - clever, adaptable, a little chaotic - and the warm, focused light of a candle. Something old and something cozy. It felt right for a space where tarot and storytelling live side by side.
We started with tarot readings and are now opening the table to TTRPG sessions too. Both services happen live via video - no scripts, no pre-recorded content. Just one of us, the cards or the dice, and you.

Coyotes and Candles is a two-person team - Alli and Carma run the show. Our additional Game Masters are trusted contractors who bring their own tables, styles, and worlds to the community.

Tarot reader, kitchen witch, and the muse at the heart of Coyotes and Candles. The name, the logo, the whole warm-and-a-little-chaotic spirit of this place — it grew from her. She reads cards and crafts worlds with the kind of quiet intuition that makes you feel heard before you've finished your question.

What We Offer
Tarot Readings
We offer personalized tarot readings designed to provide clarity, insight, and a different angle on whatever you're sitting with. Whether you have a specific question or just want to see what comes up - the cards tend to know.
GM Sessions
We run paid tabletop RPG sessions - one-shots for a standalone adventure, ongoing campaigns for groups who want a continuing story, and party events for special occasions. All sessions are welcoming to new players and run live via video. No TTRPG experience needed.
Built-In Video & Virtual Tabletop
Every session runs in our own purpose-built platform - no third-party video apps, no downloads, no extra accounts. Your session room opens in the browser with live video, voice, a virtual tabletop board for tokens and maps, character sheets, dice rolls, and a full D&D 5e and Shadowrun 4e compendium. For tarot readings, the same room gives you a shared visual space to lay out the spread. The link is persistent and private - it stays the same every session, so you just bookmark it and show up.

The Community
There is a chat built right into the site - no extra app to install. Sign in, click the Community button in the header, and a panel slides out with the channels you have access to. Here is how it works.
Your campaign channels, automatically
When you join a campaign, its channel appears for you on its own. Leave the campaign and it goes away. No invites to chase.
General, for everyone with a game
The General channel is open to anyone with an active game - a campaign or an upcoming booking - or anyone who has the community password.
Updates from us
The Updates channel is where we post announcements. You will see a badge on the Community button when there is something new to read.
Yours to keep tidy
Campaign chat stays private to the people in that game. We moderate the open channels. General and Updates can also be mirrored out to our Discord so nobody misses the conversation.
